Back to the studio

Lately I have been doing a lot of environmental portraits (location based), but recently I got into a studio with Melané Raath from industry design.

I was a bit nervous to work in a studio again simply because I had decided on using a  white backdrop, lets just say that I have had bad experiences with white backdrops in the past. But if done correctly one can produce great images when using white.

Before this studio session I had to prepare myself mentally on how I wanted to go about the shoot so that I could turn the idea that I had envisioned into a reality, but soon after we started with the shoot I threw it all out and just winged it. By going with the flow I was able to surpass my preconceived ideas that I had formulated a couple of days before the time.

ps. I wanted to name this post “Back to the bat cave” but decided against it because we did not make use of a bat cave.
